Thanksgiving & Christmas Ministry News.
Dec. 5th, 2019
I trust all of you are enjoying your holiday season. I know these times can be stressful, and not always enjoyable for some. However, if we put our trust in the Lord, and are sensitive toward the needs of others. We can make this one of the best holiday seasons for our entire CGMF family.
As usual we will be collecting items for Christmas for the Needy. Any and all gifts or presents will be given to those in the local fellowship groups who have approached their Shepherd Leaders with unique needs. Also, all other gifts will be given to those on local welfare lists whom need extra help during this holiday season. Please call the ministry phone number and leave a message for Jan Welch if you are wanting to give toward that ministry at this time, or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special Gathering services will be held in Omaha and North Platte to celebrate the holidays. I will be speaking at one of the venues, and Reverend Dwayne Smith from Lincoln the other. He is a young minister in our fellowship who is truly becoming quite an evangelist, and I think his ministry will encourage your heart. Locations will be announced shortly.
Our quarterly classes have had a bit of change this last quarter. I have been teaching a series on Gideon: Mighty Man Of Valor for the Thru The Bible Series, Foundations and Authentic Man classes. With 5 other groups using the same curriculum. Others are on normal rotation. We are using Phillip Keller’s book on the subject as a backdrop for the series. I felt led to have this change at this time, as God is preparing us for something unique I believe in 2020, and I believe we must be prepared to ” Take Him at His Word ” in 2020.
We are looking to expand our ministry of music program by the way, so I am calling out all those who have gifts in this area to contact us at the office. We would like to share our various groups ministers of music in more than just The Gathering sessions, and want to expand it to a travelling ministry blessing a variety of of Neighborhood Fellowship Groups. Let us know if you’d be willing to be a part.
Please remember CGMF in your giving of time, treasure and talents this holiday season. We have a variety of needs we are pressing to take care of, as well beginning to plan for our next financial budgetary meetings in February. Thank you for your faithfulness and love ahead of time. Remember you can always give online at cgmfinc.com.
In His Grace and Love,
Founding Pastor, CGMF
